Lijdende vorm naar actieve vorm

Zinnen die in de lijdende vorm staan, zijn gemakkelijker te begrijpen dan zinnen in de passieve vorm. Overschakelen van de passieve vorm naar de actieve vorm is eenvoudig, maar je moet er wel een beetje mee oefenen. In het onderstaande gelijkwaardigheidstabel zie je dat de tijd van het werkwoord to be in de lijdende vorm altijd hetzelfde is als de tijd van het hoofdwerkwoord in de actieve vorm. Om de actieve vorm te gebruiken, moet je het onderwerp van de handeling expliciet maken.
